Adjunct Faculty - Chemical Engineering (Fall 2024 or Spring 2025)

The Department of Chemical Engineering at the Albert Nerken School of Engineering is searching for adjunct faculty who have an interest in teaching undergraduate- and graduate-level chemical engineering courses.  In particular we are seeking candidates to teach undergraduate Materials Science in Fall 2024.

Ideal candidates should either possess or be working towards a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a related field. Candidates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and at least 10 years of experience in a related field will also be considered if they can demonstrate effective teaching potential.  Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. - visa sponsorship is not available for this position. All candidates must be able to be on campus in New York City for in-person teaching.

Positions are available for the Fall 2024 or Spring 2025 semesters.

Candidates with expertise and experience in materials science, thermodynamics, transport, reaction engineering, catalysis, process design, product design, or process safety are encouraged to apply.   Additional consideration will be given to those capable of creating opportunities for students at the intersection of chemical engineering and other disciplines, including Art and Architecture.   Other candidates well qualified to teach core courses or elective courses in other areas will be considered.  Refer to our course listings for more information.
