The Cooper Union: 149th Commencement

The Cooper Union's 149th commencement on May 28th included chairman of the Board of Trustees, Ronald W. Drucker (CE'62), commencement speaker, and honored Jesse Reiser (AR'81) and Nanako Umemoto (AR'83), Thomas Nozkowski (A'67) and Nancy H. Yieh (ME'79) with Presidential Citations and 2008 graduates Katerina Kourkoula (AR'08), Cyrus St. Amand-Poliakoff (A'08) and Miroslav Ovcharik (EE'08) with top honors in their respective schools.

Soon-to-be graduates prepared for the ceremony in the Wollman Lounge.
The class of 2008 listened to the proceedings.
President George Campbell Jr. presided over the commencement.	Chairman of the Board of Trustees Ronald W. Drucker (CE'62) gave the commencement address.
Rodrigo Suárez Tamés (CE'08) was the student speaker.	Dennis Stephen Kong (IDE'08) sang the national anthem.
The graduates gathered in Peter Cooper Triangle after the ceremony to celebrate.
