From this site, you can see the various class efforts that have been undertaken since I have joined the Cooper Union community. As
outlined below, the following efforts are things I like to promote about Cooper Union.
- Summer 2005 - Falkin
An attempt to develop a multi-factor biometric identification system for identity authentication
Cooperation with Dean BenAvi and Adj Prof. Rob Marano
- Fall 2005 - EID 101 - Wifi New York
Freshman engineering class where 25 students worked to design a viable deployment of wifi components to support broadband
access for all of New York City.
- Spring 2006 to present - Red Hen Spectra
A collaborative effort between Electrical Engineering and Chemistry to develop a community-based curation platform
for analytical chemists to share chemical spectra.
- Spring 2007 - ESC 463
Web 2.0 Paradigms - allowing upperclassmen and graduate students to develop, using product requirements and agile development
practices, their own software applications for exsternal customers.
- Spring 2007 - EID 116
Systems Engineering - introduction to dynamic modeling of systems for sophomore Mechanical Engineering students
- Fall 2008 - EID 101
Freshmen engineering class where 29 students worked to design a Cooper Tricorder - which became a handheld spectrometer
for use in police and emergency needs
- Fall 2008 to present - Cooper Union Venture Network
Student group focused on building entrepreneurial vision at Cooper Union - connecting students and alumni to
build ongoing ventures
