Ch'an Meditation Retreats
Evening MeditationTuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 9:00 PM which include sitting meditation, yoga exercise and chanting of the Heart Sutra. Open to the public. |
Special Ch'an ClassMeditation followed by a Dharma talk by Master Sheng-yen. Topics concern Ch'an Practice. Two semesters per year. Wednesdays 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Completion of Beginners' Meditation Workshop and continuation of practice for at least three months are required.
Friday Night Ch'an Sitting GroupOpen to both beginning and experienced students of Ch'an who have completed the Beginners' Meditation Workshop. The group practices together, engages in informal discussion, receives practice instructions, and shares understanding and experience in the application of Ch'an to daily living. Conducted by Master Sheng-yen or the resident monks. Friday 7:00 to 9:30 PM. |
