Freshman Seminars

Seminars generally meet on Mondays in room 21E at 12:00 noon unless stated specifically.

The Freshman Seminars cover a range of topics. Initially they form an introduction to the Cooper Union ensuring that every incoming student understands the workings of the school and administration, who are the people to see when he or she has questions and what his or her responsibilities are as a student. The series includes help with registration and provides an opportunity for the new class to be informed about issues such as safety and different programs within the school. It also provides introductions to the engineering profession through workshops on ethics, career development and communication skills.

Students should check the Engineering Professional Development Workshops and Seminars notice board for schedules regularly. The notice board is located in the Engineering School lobby.
