Welcome to the Engineering Professional Development Workshops and Seminars. These seminars and workshops are designed to give the freshman and sophomore classes a running start at the who's, what's and where's of The Cooper Union; offer workshops in important issues such as ethics, career development and communication skills; and, give presentations designed to help students understand the workplace and the engineering profession. Many of the seminars are aimed at giving students an introduction to the ABET 2000 criteria and foster development of these aspects of their future careers, at Cooper, and in their professional life. The series is a required, not for credit, course. It has a Pass/Fail grade that is based on attendance and participation. The Engineering Professional Development Seminars are coordinated by Professor Richard Stock of the Department of Chemical Engineering. |
