Reuben Cox is a photographer working in the documentary style. A 1994 graduate of the Cooper Union, he is also a graduate of the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics in Durham. Cox's work has appeared in group shows at Laurence Miller Gallery and Ariel Meyerowitz Gallery in New York, the Rencontres Arles Festival in France, the Art and Commerce Festival, Jackson Fine Art in Atlanta, and elsewhere. His first solo show will be held this January at the Bespoke Gallery in New York.

Reuben's work is a part of the permanent collections of the Ogden Museum, the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Alice Austen House Museum, Howard Stein's Cameraworks, the Center for Documentary Studies and North Carolina State University's Gallery for Art and Design. He was a finalist for the Discovery prize at the 2004 Rencontres Arles festival Arles, France, as well as the Center for Documentary Studies' Honickman First Book Prize.

Cox's photographs have appeared in Doubletake, the New York Times Magazine, the New Yorker, Rolling Stone, Fortune and many other publications.
