The Admissions Process

1. Please submit the first part of your application online before January 5, 2009.
2. You will receive a confirmation letter.
3. You will have to prepare and submit:
   1. Your official high school transcript
   2. Any official college transcripts
   3. Your SAT or ACT scores (directly from the Collegeboard or ACT)
   4. Recommendation letters (optional in any format)
4. You will receive a hometest in late January to early February which you must complete and return to the Office of Admissions by the deadline (approximately 3-4 weeks later)*.
5. You will receive an admissions decision by mail during the first week of April.

*For first-year applicants, no additional portfolio material should be sent.

The School of Art

The Early Decision Admissions Process

1. Submit the first part of your application online before December 1, 2008.
2. You will receive a confirmation letter.
3. You will have to prepare and submit:
   1. Your official high school transcript
   2. Any official college transcripts
   3. Your SAT or ACT scores (directly from the Collegeboard or ACT)
4. You will receive a hometest at the end of December which you must complete and submit by the deadline (approximately 3-4 weeks later).
   1. The hometest will contain one recommendation form. One letter of recommendation is required.
   2. The hometest will include portfolio requirements. All portfolio work should be sent with the hometest in the envelope provided.
5. You will receive an admissions decision by mail at the beginning of February.

The Regular Decision Admissions Process

1. Submit the first part of your application online before January 9, 2009.

   2. Any official college transcripts
   3. Your SAT or ACT scores (directly from the Collegeboard or ACT)

   4. Two SAT II scores. One in math (either 1 or 2) and one in either physics or chemistry.
   5. Recommendation letters (recommended: 2-3 letters in any format)
4. You will receive a set of short answer essay questions which you must complete and return by December 5, 2008.
5. You will receive an admissions decision by mail at the end of December.

The Regular Decision Admissions Process

1. Submit the first part of your application online by February 2, 2009.
2. You will receive a confirmation letter.
3. You will have to prepare and submit:
   1. Your official high school transcript
   2. Any official college transcripts
   3. Your SAT or ACT scores (directly from the Collegeboard or ACT)
   4. Two SAT II scores. One in math (either 1 or 2) and one in either physics or chemistry.
   5. Recommendation letters (recommended: 2-3 letters in any format)

5. You will receive an admissions decision by mail during the first week of April.
